Dell-satellite-sync is a tool designed to make it easier & faster to import the yum repos using RHN satellite and manage subscribed systems.

You can always use the standard RHN satellite web interface to do the same thing manually (or with your own script), it would just take longer, and you would also need to know the specific yum repo paths in http://linux.dell.com/repo/hardware.

I see a dell-satellite-sync tool. What is the advantage of using this above the possibilty to have the yum repo synced with the standard satellite features?

So far, I found one, you only get rpm's for specific system type(s).

Maybe there are also errata's when using this tool?
