[Linux-PowerEdge] Manage Dell Linux repositories with RHN Satellite, Spacewalk & SUSE Manager

Version 1.0.0 supports CentOS but requires a patch to add the corresponding CentOS channel name. Since CentOS is not a Dell-supported OS, it is not part of dell-satellite-sync, but should work just fine with minor tweaks. Let me work on a patch and will post later today or tomorrow.

Does version 1.0.0 support CentOS? I still see the old http://linux.dell.com/files/misc/dell-satellite-sync.patch in there from 2011 for CentOS support, so I'm wondering if this new version will work for me...

This is interesting, but it seems easier to use satellite by yum syncing to the platform_independent yum repo.

The only advantage I see to this method is managing the system-specific repos.

Is there anything useful in these repos? All of the firmware updates are in the platform_independent one.

Mostly system-specific drivers.
