We use Nagios with Jefferson's great megactl tool to monitor all our
RAID and drive statuses. But that's on Linux.

If you're using Windows, you can at least get some hardware status for
inventory purposes using Dell's DSET tool:

I don't believe it will give you array status, but you'll get every
piece of hardware information you could think of - including the drive
model and size info you're looking for.

You can use megactl/megasasctl for this. That's pretty much what I wrote
it for.
