You can certainly have SATA drives connected and I suspect you can have
both SATA and SAS at the same time, but not in the same array.

Check the model numbers of the drives against the manufacturers website?

You could try:  omreport storage connector controller=0
2950's were sold with 8x2.5" or 6x3.5" hdd bays IIRC.
I'm not sure if it reports connectors that aren't in use.
