I suppose that you have some version of OMSA installed on the system. If
so I think that "Systems Management Data Engine" must be runnung on the
system to be able to retreive the below mentioned data. Pls run
" status" to check what services are running on the
system. The following services must be running on the system for
retreiving the below mentioned data in addition to having the MIB in the
right place.

Also I have a link here which talks about a similar issue which might be
of some help.

With regards,
Narendra K

Subject: What's needed to install 1089x SNMP MIBs?

A long time ago, I was able to install the 10892 MIB in my PE 2850
'' and get it working with SNMP:
kevinz at centernet:/etc/snmp$ snmpget -v2c -c xxxxxxxx
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.674.10892.1.300. = STRING: "14xxxxxx"
kevinz at centernet:/etc/snmp$ snmpget -v2c localhost -c xxxxxxxx
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.674.10892.1.300. = No Such Object
available on this agent at this OID

As you can see, however, I'm not able to query the same OID on my PE
2450 'localhost'.

I thought that all I needed was to get the 10892.mib from somewhere and
put it in /usr/share/snmp/mibs/, add the line "smuxpeer
." to /etc/snmp/snmp.conf and restart SNMPd and
all would be well. There must be more, because I've done all this on my
PE 2450 and it's not working. Can anyone remind me of what I'm

I'd also like to install the 10893 Dell Array Manger MIB. Same

Thanks for all your help and advice.
