Monitor for RAID Failure

I have a PowerEdge SC1430 running CentOS with mirrored RAID on it and I
want to be notified if the RAID array fails.

lspci lists this:
05:08.0 SCSI storage controller: LSI Logic / Symbios Logic SAS1068 PCI-X
Fusion-MPT SAS (rev 01)

What is the best way to do this? I would like to install as little extra
software as possible.

lsmod shows the following are running:
mptscsih 2625 0
mptsas 16973 3 mptscsih
mptspi 11985 1 mptscsih
mptscsi 43217 2 mptsas,mptspi
mptbase 68673 3 mptsas,mptspi,mptscsi
sd_mod 19393 3
scsi_mod 144529 5 libata,mptsas,mptspi,mptscsi,sd_mod

and here is dmesg:
