attaching the hosts to the SAN

Why can't you use Powerpath?  A technical reason or something else?
We don't use the exact setup you do, but when I do this I get regular
SCSI disk devices (/dev/sdx) that show up for each path to each LUN.

7x servers PE2950 with 2XFC HBA need to be attached to SAN EMC CX310C
through Brocade switches ... phys. I have connected 
them, and created RAID5 on the SAN and also created LUNS, now am having
problem to find the way how assign these LUN to my servrs
since am not able to power path under linux any help will be appreciated
