List,

I have the old perc-cerc-apps-6.03-A06 on my host and want to monitor
the raid adapter. I didn't see anything in the mib that described the
logical disk status in one attribute so I figured I would look at the
status of all 3 physical disks.

Well I got the percmain pass though working and can walk the mib just fine:

$ snmpwalk -v2c -On localhost .1.3.6.1.4.1.3582 | grep online
.1.3.6.1.4.1.3582.1.1.3.1.4.0.0.0 = INTEGER: online(3)
.1.3.6.1.4.1.3582.1.1.3.1.4.0.0.1 = INTEGER: online(3)
.1.3.6.1.4.1.3582.1.1.3.1.4.0.0.2 = INTEGER: online(3)

But when I query one of those attributes with snmpget it fails:

$ snmpget -v2c localhost .1.3.6.1.4.1.3582.1.1.3.1.4.0.0.0
.1.3.6.1.4.1.3582.1.1.3.1.4.0.0.0: Unknown Object Identifier (Index out
of range: 0 (physAdapterNumber))

So the question is: why is the walk returning a non-valid OID? And is
there an easier way to monitor the status of the raid array?

Thanks,
schu
