A while back (3-4 years ago with v3), the reiserfsck maintainer was
lucky enough to have a machine with some bad RAM and ended up with
filesystems that had all kinds of strange errors.  This was lucky
because the competency of reiserfsck made huge strides.  Make sure that
you're using the latest version available.  It pays to download source
and compile it if it's later than your distro provides (or look for
rpms/debs/ebuilds from your distro's development tree).
