Electrically, yes.  Logically, just as with the PERC you want to use
OMSA or dellmgr to prepare a drive for removal, you'll want to do the
same thing using "echo scsi-remove-single-device 0 0 N 0 >
/proc/scsi/scsi", remove the disk, then "scsi-add-single-device" (on
RHEL4; similar incantation on newer 2.6 kernel-based products with
current sysfs) and the appropriate mdadm command for it to recognize
the new disk.  It's not quite as simple as the hardware RAID
solutions, but not that hard.
