Firstly, the the nic is not a BCM5820. The 5820 is an SSL Accelerator
card sold by Broadcom. The embedded nic is a bcm5721 chipset. I
suspect it wasn't supported by the tg3 driver until the latest update
from Red Hat of 2.1 AS. From the update 6 release notes:

   Broadcom Tigon3 (tg3 driver)

o The tg3 driver has been updated from v1.2e4 to v3.10u6

o The new driver is net/tg3.o

You might try updating all the packages to the latest revisions, I
believe 2.4.9-e.57 is the kernel for Update 6.

Good day,

I installed the O.S. w/o using DOSA or I use installion from CD. didn't
install the driver for broadcom and video which is my problem.

I tried to search trhu dell.com for an update driver for this NIC, and
video, can't find the driver for linux AS2.1 on the website on RH Linux
ES 2.1 & 3.0

I tried to modprode bcm5820 an error appeared

/lib/modules/2.4.9-e.3smp/kernel/drivers/crypto/bcm/bcm5820.o
insmod

#insmod bcm5820
using
