110T DLT VS 80: Compressed Mode with 'mt' command??

I've got a PowerVault 110 DLT VS 80, and I'm using dump to perform backups
on it. Dump fails (asked for media change) at 40 GB, I assume that the
drive does not come up defaulted to hardware compression on???

Does anybody know how to how to put compression on with 'mt'??

Below is the tail end of my log, created as part of the 'dump', using a
script. I use 'mt -f /dev/nst0 status' at the end to report status (note
that it states density code at 0x80; default was 0x40, and I changed that,
thinking this would do the trick..).

Also note that 'mt -f /dev/nst0 datcompression' reports "Compression on", so
I am a little confused.

Many thanks,

Thomas Besemer
