1750's only have USB1.1 ports using the OHCI driver.

A cheap USB2 PCI card would probably be your best bet.

Since I don't have a 650 here, you'd need to check with lspci and/or lsmod as 
to whether there is a USB2 chip and if the EHCI driver is being used.
