Have just run the up2date for new kernels on Redhat ES 2.1
to install the new kernel version 2.4.9-e.40 and it seems
to be missing the megaraid_2002 module. As you can see in
the grub.conf the initrd lines are missing.

title Red Hat Linux (2.4.9-e.40smp)
        root (hd0,0)
        kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.9-e.40smp ro root=/dev/sda3
title Red Hat Linux (2.4.9-e.40)
        root (hd0,0)
        kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.9-e.40 ro root=/dev/sda3
title Red Hat Linux (2.4.9-e.38smp)
        root (hd0,0)
        kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.9-e.38smp ro root=/dev/sda3
        initrd /initrd-2.4.9-e.38smp.img
title Red Hat Linux (2.4.9-e.38)
        root (hd0,0)
        kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.9-e.38 ro root=/dev/sda3
        initrd /initrd-2.4.9-e.38.img

When I try to run the mkinitrd command manaully it creates
the following error.

(propeld1)[/etc]root# mkinitrd /boot/initrd-2.4.9-e.3.40smp.img 2.4.9-e.40smp
No module megaraid_2002 found for kernel 2.4.9-e.40smp

Has anyone else seen such an error and can relate their
results. A bugzilla sent last Monday hasnt had any response
from Redhat. ;-(
