2650 Amperage?

Well given Michael appears to be dunnunda (on 240v), you should double his
numbers (assuming they are accurate) for 120v if you are in the US/Canada -
so 2.4 - 3.2 amps - exceeding your 3 amp power supply on startup.

We tried booting our 2650 on a 3-amp DC power supply and it would not run,
so I'd have to say "higher".  This particular machine was a dual-1.8 with
3x73G drives.
