running *really* short on DMA buffers

Hi all,

After two months without any problem, my PE 2500 crashed this morning (kernel
2.4.18-10smp). I had to power off/on to reboot. During the boot, a lot of ext3
errors were reported, and one hour after, I find the following messages in
/var/log/messages :

Dec 27 13:28:17 nantes kernel: (scsi0:A:0:0): Locking max tag count at 128
Dec 27 13:36:04 nantes kernel: Warning - running *really* short on DMA buffers
Dec 27 13:36:12 nantes last message repeated 147 times

What is the meaning of this message ? Should I worry about it ? May it indicate
any hardware problem ?

Thanks for your help,
