Disk problems on 1650...

I have had similar errors on Dell 1650s. I ran several complete disk
scans with IBM and Quantum utils (though not Dell's - wiped from HDD)
and found nothing wrong. After upgrading the kernel to 2.4.18-18.7.x,
the errors have disappeared.

I have to conclude from this that a SCSI driver error is to blame,
although it's difficult to prove as I can't "force" the errors to appear
using an older kernel.

Of course, it could just be a faulty disk...
