Hi,

If you are looking at installing Dell's OpenManage Server for Linux,
i've updated the install script to reflect the OMSA 1.1.0 release.

If you haven't heard of OMSA before, it's a set of libraries and tools
that allow you to access and configure a lot of features on your dell
poweredge servers. It includes a command line reporting tool (omreport)
and a java based secure web server (https://your.machine:1311/)

Please read the script first and keep in mind you use it at your
own risk. I have assumed you have:

o installed the SNMP updates for the OS
o installed the kernel source for the kernel you are running
o have backed up your server and generally know what you're doing

In addition, i would recommend you consider upgrading to RedHat 7.2 or
7.3 and using the 2.4.9-34 or 2.4.18-5 kernel.

You can fetch this from:

If you are already running OMSA 1.0, there is an upgrade script at

cheers,

-jason
