Hi Steve,

Is this a 2950 or 2950III?
	2950
What is the BIOS version?
	BIOS Version 2.2.6
What is the root disk controller and disk hardware being used?
	DELL PERC6/i
There is also an Adaptec 39320A in the system.
What disk/RAID configuration have you done, if any?
	LUN0 - RAID1, LUN1 - RAID5
What is the HBA driver you are trying to load and where exactly did you
get it from?
We have tried booting with the driver on the CD

	Also the Megasas driver from
		ftp://ftp.sco.com/pub/openserver6/600/drivers/megasas.1.1
Tried it by burning the ISO image to a CD and also by
creating a
floppy on another SCO 5.0.4 Unix system. We tried two
different
		CDs as well.
The Floppy was mountable and readable and had a variety of
files
		and directories on it.
Both gave the same error: Error when mounting HBA media
The light on the USB floppy flashed so it appeared to access
it.

	In the document:
http://osr600doc.sco.com/en/GetStart/gsgC.HWconfig.html
under: SCO OpenServer Release 6 Host Bus Adapter (HBA) drivers
There is an X under the Available from CD Boot Image column
for the MEGA HBA adapter. So we had assumed the correct controller
would be on the boot CD.

What do you see on the console after the failure (Cntl-Alt-H)?
This is the information that was displayed:

	The system is coming up

VT0>0:0,7,0: HBA :(usb_msto,1) USB USB HBA
	        0,0,0: DISK :TEAC FD-05PUB 3200

	WARNING FDC UNEXPECTED STATE

	1:0,2,0:HBA :(ide,1) Generic IDE/ATAPI
 	    0,0,0:CDROM :HL-DT-STCDRW/DVD GCCT10NA102
	2: 0,7,0:HBA :(ADPU320,1) Adaptec Ultra320
	3: 0,7,0:HBA :(ADPU320,2) Adaptec Ultra320

The PERC6/i does not appear to have been recognized.

Hi Bob,

Specific information and installation notes on the 2950 models certified can
be found here:

If nothing there helps, can you please provide the following details:

Is this a 2950 or 2950III?
What is the BIOS version?
What is the root disk controller and disk hardware being used?
What disk/RAID configuration have you done, if any?
What is the HBA driver you are trying to load and where exactly did you
get it from?
What do you see on the console after the failure (Cntl-Alt-H)?
