Poweredge 2900

Hi Steve.
No luck installing with the drivers given.  I start installing unixware,
insert the licence , the hba screen comes up, I insert the hba disk, it
install the "drivers" on the hba disk, says complete , enter the dcu and
staight away gets a "no root disk error".
Any ideas or do I need to change the controller card?

Is this what you're looking for?  It specifically mentions the Dell Perc
5/i, but doesn't mention any Dell Server models.

I am trying to load unixware 7.1.4 on the dell powerdge 2900. I see it
isn't certified in the "hardware compatability list" on SCO's website.
But I do find an Hba driver for the integrated sas storage card under
the LSI label , the driver is for the "SAS1060" I try and install it and
still get a "unable to find root disk error" once I install the O.S.
I've googled the whole day and eventually decided to contact the
mailling list directly.

Can it be done or would we have to install a new controller card? Any
ideas? Regards Jason
