Hi scott ...

As a SCO software house, I currently have the same issue ... any response
from Dell/SCO would be informative ....

is the SAS based on Adaptec or LSI technology ?

Currently, it would appear that SCO has not yet weighed in on SAS ... My
take on SATA raid with UNIX/LINUX vs U3W at 320 bus is no!no!no!

Well, Dell is getting rid of the Poweredge 2800 and replacing it with
the 2900. The 2900 standard configuration does not have any SCSI RAID
options. It has a PERC5i card that hooks up to SAS drives.

I cannot find any reference to the PERC5 adapter anywhere in relation to
SCO UNIX. If anyone has a link to where I may download the drivers, or
other information that would help me get this up and running I would
really appreciate it.

I have been using openserver 5.0.7 on the 2800s, but I have a feeling an
upgrade to 6.0 is inevitable. I have the software, but 6.0 does not
have the needed drivers either. I would be perfectly happy staying on
5.0.7, so if anyone knows of drivers for that OS it would help. I just
need drivers that will work with either 5.0.7 or 6.0.

I have gotten a lot of help on this mailing list before, so I appreciate
it and TIA for any response to this latest question.
