[Poweredgec-tools] bmc node_number method?

Each node has a BMC that communicates with the Chassis FCB. That FCB will tell each BMC what node it is dynamically.

The BMC tool sends a special command to the BMC to ask it where it’s been told it is sitting.

So, it should reflect current live location.

Subject: [Poweredgec-tools] bmc node_number method?

How does the bmc tool determine the node position in a C6100?

(root at ob1065132:~)# bmc node_number

Is it burned into the BMC somewhere at the factory or, if a node is replaced/moved, will it somehow get updated to reflect its' new position
