The lm_sensors package (and the gnome-applet-sensors GUI) that comes
with Fedora 8 works with an Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 CPU in a Precision T3400.

I suspect the lm_sensors package that comes with RHEL4 might be too old.
You might be able to rebuild the Fedora 8 lm_sensors RPM on RHEL4 by
downloading lm_sensors-2.10.4-2.fc8.src.rpm from:

http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/releases/8/Everything/source/SRPMS/

and issuing:

   rpmbuild --rebuild lm_sensors-2.10.4-2.fc8.src.rpm

Cheers,
Doug
