black screen, out of range signal

I have a dell precision 380 with red hat 4.

My monitor is a dell 2007WFPb

 

After booting I get a  black screen and this error

"Out of range signal. Cannot display this video mode,

Change computer display input to 1680x1050 at 60Hz"
