Linux Rescue on Red Hat and Dell Precision

You should use a quiet recent rescue cd (with new kernel)
http://www.sysresccd.org/Index.en.php
With like this one you would be able to boot, and recognize all you hardware.

After that a grub-install sould do the trick.
