In an earlier e-mail, you seemed hesitant to go with a non-Dell driver;
is there any reason why? I'm on Debian and not Ubuntu, but I skipped
the decision on whether or not to use a non-Dell driver and went
directly to finding out how to do it. But that could be because Debian
is against closed-source distributions, so most web sites I visited
suggested going this path. As Ubuntu is based on Debian, if the Dell
drivers aren't satisfactory, then go for the Nividia ones if a better
solution is not offered...
[Alternatively, you can post on the nvidia web site if you still have
problems after having installed the latest nvidia drivers.]
Good luck!
Ray
