Very slow writes with mptsas

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem with the precision 690 and its controller
(LSI Logic / Symbios Logic SAS1068) and a SATA II raid 1 array. If you
change from ext3 to ext2 filesystem (no journal) it becomes a little bit
faster, but still writes are very, very slow. I am going to buy a 3ware
raid adapter and check if that one is faster, the ones that I have for
PATA are very fast.
