xorg yum update uninstalls dell-nvidia rpm

Tony is correct. xorg-x11-Mesa-libGL and the dell-nvidia RPM provide
several of the same files, so installing one will cause the other to get
uninstalled via up2date. If you run NVIDIA's installer, then upgrade
xorg-x11-Mesa-libGL, the NVIDIA files get overwritten, and X will
usually cease to work.

By experience, installing xorg-x11-Mesa-libGL will result in the removal
of dell-nvidia, and vice versa.
