RHEL 4 2.6.9-42.0.8.EL kernel breaks sound for me... (again!)

Greetings,

I'm seeing the same thing on a 64 bit machine in my office but I don't 
get the dmesg errors. Just no sound. I have snd-hda-intel-1.0.6p-9dkms 
installed, along with dmks-2.0.5-1 also.

I think sound was working on the 32 bit install with the rpms but I'll 
have to double check that.
