Hi,
I have a precision 690 with a sata disk connected to the LSI SAS1068
controller. I would like to use smartmontools to read the smartdata of the
disk.
If I type:
smartctl -a /dev/sda
I get:
smartctl version 5.36 [i686-pc-linux-gnu] Copyright (C) 2002-6 Bruce Allen
Home page is http://smartmontools.sourceforge.net/
Device: ATA ST3500641AS Version: J
Serial number: 3PM1HJL0
Device type: disk
Local Time is: Mon Feb 19 12:01:43 2007 UTC
Device supports SMART and is Enabled
Temperature Warning Disabled or Not Supported
SMART Health Status: OK
Error Counter logging not supported
Device does not support Self Test logging
Does anyone know another way to read the smartdata of a disk via this
controller?
Thanks,
--
