Greetings,

I've been working with Fedora 6 recently `cause I've been told RHEL 5
will be based on it prolly. I went ahead and made a kickstart just to
test the audio and various other aspects of Fedora 6 such as the new
"user" kickstart keyword. You can see a copy of my sample/example at:

http://www.eos.ncsu.edu/hardware/ks-6-1

Notice how no alsaunmute command is required to hear sounds after the
first install is finished if anyone does kickstart installs on this
make/model machine. (Pretty cool) You had to run alsaunmute in RHEL 4. We
were looking at possibly upgrading to RHEL 5 maybe this upcoming summer.

I do still use the gconftool-2 to turn on sound effects for all users and
I have speakers attached to the Precision 380 audio jack so audio "Just
works" the very first time you log in.

I still haven't got the Aixgl stuff working yet with NVidia video card
(Eye candy stuff / special effects with the window manager) but I haven't
really tried that hard yet either... For this example I'm just using "nv".

Cheers,
