Just installed the driver and it now works on all three (3) of the
graphics that originally failed...I'll keep plugging away with my
testing....thanks again to all.

Just posted dell-nvidia 8765 here: http://linux.dell.com/files/nvidia/.
Not sure if it fixes your problem, but you can give it a try

Hello,
Our group has been able to confirm a problem with the latest
NVIDIA 8756 RPM driver regarding off-screen rendering of tiff images.
Basically, the driver is rendering the colors as transparent, in this
case, black, as it is the background color.
Does anyone use the NVIDIA driver for this purpose or when the
next release of the dell-nvidia driver will be? I believe the NVIDIA
driver is up to 8762 on the nvidia web site. In my opinion, the
dell-nvidia driver works much better on the Precision workstations.
