Does the machine have SATA hard drives or SCSI hard drives? If you are
equipped with SATA hard drives be sure that you are loading the AHCI
driver available from the dell support web site.

Hope this helps.

Subject: Weird error trying to install RHEL-WS4 on a Precision 380
I'm trying to re-install RHEL-WS4 on a Precision 380.
When the install program starts loading up from CD2 it dies complaining
that either the media is bad, the hard-drive is full, or there is a
hardware problem.
I tried with several sets of media, and have even replaced the
hard-drive with no luck.
What is really wierd is that this happens AFTER the disk partitions have
been formatted.
All ideas appreciated.
