Weird error trying to install RHEL-WS4 on a Precision 380

I'm trying to re-install RHEL-WS4 on a Precision 380.

When the install program starts loading up from CD2 it dies complaining
that either the media is bad, the hard-drive is full,
or there is a hardware problem.

I tried with several sets of media, and have even replaced the
hard-drive with no luck.

What is really wierd is that this happens AFTER the disk partitions have
been formatted.

All ideas appreciated.
