No sound after upgrading to RHEL4.4

Greetings,

The rpms I refered to in my last email as possibly being broken are
dkms-2.0.5-1.noarch.rpm and snd-hda-intel-1.0.6p-9dkms.noarch.rpm. As I
said in my last email they don't work when booting into a recent RHEL 4
smp kernel but do work on a recent normal RHEL 4 kernel. Is it normal for
the DELL Precision 380 to use a smp kernel with RHEL? Or is
snd-hda-intel not set up to work with a smp kernel? I'm thinking it might
be possible to remove the smp kernel in a %post script in a kickstart at
install time but I'm not sure if that would be appropriate. Something
like:

rpm -e kernel-smp
rpm -e kernel-smp-devel

Thanks,
