Precision 690 and OpenSuse 10.1 installation

I posted this problem to the poweredge list first because of the link below,
which describes the same problem that I am having.

In short, I am trying to install OpenSuse 10.1 on a Precision 690 (lsi 1068
sas controller, 80Gb and 500Gb drives connected to it).  I keep getting "no
hard disks found" during the installation.  The hard drives are working with
the RHEL distro that came factory-installed, but I would really like to be
running Suse.  Any suggestions?
