Gary,
That RPM should have worked, silly question did you make sure
the audio is not muted using alsamixer or that the on-board audio isn't
turned off in BIOS.

I'm afriad that didn't work. My system now thinks its sound card is a
snd-hda-intel within system-config-soundcard. And I can't hear a test
sound from within the program.
I am going to re-install my box to get back to my original
configuration.
Any other suggestions for getting the audio to work on Precision 380
workstations after getting RHEL 4 update 4?
