I think that's the AIC-7901 controller. If so, what it does is "HostRaid",
which is RAID only in kinda sorta the way a Winmodem is a modem.  It does
some low-level RAID setup but there are no drivers to use it in Linux
distros, AFAIK.  It's a windoze thing.
