Hi Foosa,

Could you run the following commands and share the output to better understand the problem.

1. Run : "#wget -q -O - http://linux.dell.com/repo/hardware/dsu/bootstrap.cgi | bash" To setup the repository

2. Once repo is configured, find the invcol rpm (can do 'yum search invcol') and install it.

a. for x86 machines, 'yum install invcol_NKGNV'

b. for x64, 'yum install invcol_LIN64_XNR1F'

3. After this, execute the inventory collector (ex: 'bash /usr/libexec/dell_dup/invcol_NKGNV')

4. The inventory collector will output the result on the console. Please share the output, to check if this is an inventory collector failure.

Regards,
Soorej

Hello,

I am writing to let you know of a possible issue found while using syslinux 6.03 to install a PE R410 and R320 with PXE and UEFI:

http://www.syslinux.org/archives/2015-April/023398.html
http://www.syslinux.org/archives/2015-May/023466.html

Are you aware of any particular issue with PXE and the Broadcom BCM5716C/BCM5720?

Hi everyone,

I've been trying to run DSU on CentOS6 (and 7), to no avail. running dsu --inventory or dsu results in basically no output:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[root at localhost ~]# dsu
Getting System Inventory...
Determining Applicable Updates...

Done! Please run 'dsu --inventory' to check the inventory [root at localhost ~]#
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[root at localhost ~]# dsu --inventory
Getting System Inventory...
[root at localhost ~]#
_------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Is there anyone currently running DSU on centos? Am I missing dependencies or something?
I tried on several Dell servers (R210 II, R720, R730)

best regards,
foosa

Hi there,

here it runs on CentOS 6 and CentOS 7 machines (R610 with 6.6 and
R720/T620 with 7.1). I can't see any CentOS related problems.
If there are dependencies it should have told you when you installed it.

Best,
Peter
