Martin,
Just replied on the other thread.

As Jacob suggested 
IInstalling OpenIPMI and replacing the dell ipmi script with a link to
the "ipmi" script will work. 

FYI
IPMI modules (ipmi_si and ipmi_msghandler) are no longer built as modules(Not sure with SciLinux, but this is the case in RHEL6.4), OM scripts fail services when they dont see the required IPMI modules. 
OM is doing the necessary changes to accommodate this environment, these changes will be part of the upcoming OM release(due in coming moths).
