Hi Claudio,

I have tried your steps, but loosing it along the way because of 1)  some missing repositories for some debian packages. 2) not sure what to edit on the configuration file, 

Maybe if you can directly help me, I will provide every info needed to get this working.

For Ubuntu or Debian, you can use
https://github.com/demonccc/lnxDellRepo2deb in order to port the .rpm
firmwares packages to .deb packages, so you can upgrade them easily.
