I monitor my PERC5i and PERC6i controllers by using the lsi_mrdsnmpd daemon
to pass information via snmp [0] on CentOS 5 and 6 systems.

Since the SAS6/iR controllers (LSI SAS1068e) are not MegaRAID controllers
like the previous two, it appears not to be supported when walked with

I desire the ability to monitor via SNMP rather than rely on OMSA to send
off alerts. And installing LSI's MSM along side OMSA is asking for trouble
not to mention redundant.

I'd like to know if anyone can offer any tips or solutions they've
developed for monitoring these SAS6/iR controllers.
