[Linux-PowerEdge] R710 bios upgrade failed with "Unable to get the System Generation"

Hi list,

I'm attempting to upgrade BIOS according to steps described on:
http://linux.dell.com/repo/hardware/latest/

omreport works as expected, but.. when I run:
# update_firmware -yv

The error
"Invalid XML from module /usr/libexec/dell_dup/dell_ie_nic_intel-1.1.0"
and the fact that it bombed out in "ie_interface.py" somehow indicate
that it's related to Intel NIC (?).
