OpenManage on Suse 11.1-64

Thanks a lot!!!! This did do the trick.

OpenManage works on Suse 11.1-x64.

For the archives a few hings to point out.

- I added both the repositories:
http://linux.dell.com/repo/hardware/latest/pe1850/suse11_64
http://linux.dell.com/repo/hardware/latest/pe2850/suse11_64

and yours:
http://linux.dell.com/repo/hardware/latest/platform_independent/suse11_64/
http://linux.dell.com/repo/hardware/latest/pe1850/suse11_64/
http://linux.dell.com/repo/firmware/cross-distro/
http://linux.dell.com/repo/community/repositories/isv%3a/dell%3a/community/suse11.1-x86_64/

Software repositories you can add in the Yast Control Center, item:  
'software repositories'


- I installed some more modules:
srvadmin-base
srvadmin-storage
srvadmin-webserver
several others will be added by Yast.

You can start all this with: /usr/bin/srvadmin-services.sh start

You can try to access the website by: https://yourip:1311

Try to log in with your (root) username and password

If you are unsuccessfull chances are that you have to install some  
pam32 stuff.

In /var/log/messages you can see whether there are pam related problems.

I installed (using yast):
pam-32bit
pam_fp-32bit
pam-modules-32bit

do 'ldconfig' afterwards.


Then you'll want to restart the service and you should be able to log  
in.

I can see all necessary information about the drives and the perc4di  
controller.
