Increasing raid-1 size

Hi,

A question I've been struggling to find any answer to: can you enlarge a 
RAID-1 volume on an R300/SAS6iR (LSI) controller?

What I'd like to do is replace two internal SATA disks with larger ones, 
ie. replace one, rebuild, replace other, rebuild, enlarge the container (?).

We've also got essentially the same scenario with a PE2950+PERC5/i - 
replacing 2 SAS drives in RAID-1. Anyone with experience with this?

Unfortunately both machines are full, so popping the new disks alongside 
the old isn't an option.
