Hi folks,
This morning I found that one of our servers had a problem
with an attached MD1000 array. All of the lights were flashing
on the MD1000, and the server was non-responsive. I powered down
everything and checked the cables, then brought it all back up.
Now the server is saying that "The following VDs are missing: 01".
According to the docs here (page 110):
http://www.fujitsu.com/downloads/PRMRGY/b7fy-2331-01en.pdf
"Meaning:
All the hard disks which compose logical drive XX, YY and ZZ are not
responding.
Pressing any key to continue removes the logical drive XX, YY and ZZ from the
configuration.
Action:
Contact an office listed in the "Contact Information" of "Start Guide".
Configuration information of the logical drives is not changed when turning
off or restarting the server while this message is displayed waiting for
key-in."
Any suggestions? The MD1000 currently doesn't show any error
lights, and I've re-checked the cables. The disks are configured
as just a single RAID 5 volume with one spare disk.
Thanks for any advice.
Bryan
