Slow read from PE6850/PERC4/DC

I have a PE6850 with a PERC 4/DC with two 300GB 10KRPM drives in a RAID1.

/dev/mapper/vg01-optlv:

 Timing cached reads: 3312 MB in 2.00 seconds = 1659.00 MB/sec

 Timing buffered disk reads: 150 MB in 3.05 seconds = 49.17 MB/sec

49MB/sec (and its sometimes lower) seems a bit too slow. I am able to get
~150MB/sec on similar hardware (with a PERC5). This is a RHEL5.3 x64
machine running the Xen kernel on an EXT3 filesystem. Anybody have any
ideas why it is so slow?

Thanks,

Josh
