Hi James,
if you want to use the functionality of IPMI from an external connection
(Out-of-Band-Management / agentless monitoring) you have to configure
only the baseboard management controller (BMC) or DELL remote access
card (DRAC).

You can use this in a management infrastructure too f.e. via DELL IT
Assistant (ITA).

If you want to use IPMI on your local system, you have to install
IPMITool in your operating system.
