Hello,
I currently have RHEL 4 running on a PE 1950 with a PERC 5/i card. The root partition is an LVM volume.
I needed to install a new kernel, so I compiled 2.6.16 with the following options:
* Device mapper support compiled into the kernel
* megaraid_sas driver compiled into the kenrel
* ext3 support compiled into the kernel
* selinux disabled
* grub looks good
When I boot into the new kernel, I get this boot error:
> > reading all physical volumes. this may take a while
> > umount /sys failed: 16
> > file descriptor3 left open
> > mount: error 6 mounting ext3
> > mount: error 2 mounting none
> > switchroot: mount failed: 22
> > umount /initrd/dev failed: 22
> > kernel panic - not syncing
> > attempting to kill init
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jesse
