OM 5.5 on Centos 5.2 SNMP Problem

The community name is not required in the snmpd.conf for this snmpwalk?

I only work with traps and trapsinks and not with snmpwalk but in the ./ you entered - "public" was mentioned  which isn't set as rocommunity in the snmpd.conf

i have installed OM 5.5 on my Centos 5.2 succesfully. I can use the webinterface as well. But when i try to use snmp i get errors:

 

./check_dell_openmanager.pl -v -H xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -C public -T dellom_storage

Alarm at 20

The Net::SNMP library is available on your server

I set a smuxpasswd:

 

./dcecfg32 command=setsmuxpassword password=<password> 

 

And i set it in /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf too:

 

# Allow Systems Management Data Engine SNMP to connect to snmpd using SMUX

smuxpeer .1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892.1 password

 

my snmp processes:

 

ps aux | grep snmp

root     28548  0.0  0.0  60700  3504 ?        Ssl  13:05   0:00 /opt/dell/srvadmin/dataeng/bin/dsm_sa_snmp32d

root     29758  0.0  0.0 146176  6536 ?        Sl   13:06   0:00 /usr/sbin/snmpd -Lsd -Lf /dev/null -p /var/run/snmpd.pid -a

 

Does anyone have an idea why i cant use snmp???
